Finally the last two days are here... And they are always the longest. The cab is scheduled for 5.30am Monday and tickets for the 8am train to Tainan are booked.
I never thought that not being able to open a window and get fresh air would be much worse than bad food. Even though the view has been beautiful every day, I would have traded it for feeling the breeze in the room and on my face. Everything feels dry and mildew from the AC, and thinking that the carpet has not been vacuumed and cleaned in two weeks (which shouldn't be the end of the world since I'm the only one walking on it) not only got to my head but got to my sinuses ears. Unfortunately I did not bring any allergy medication since I don't have any allergies so I had to do some research first on Google to try to find what would be available and where. I even try to look on Uber Eats since now you can order from grocery and other stores. I finally requested the assistance of the hotel staff to try to find a medication and this is the only thing they could find:
I guess Allegra, Zyrtec or Benadryl are not available in Taiwan so that was better than nothing and relieved some of the pressure at least enough until I am able to get out!
So during this round of quarantine I actually spent most of my time working, which may not be as exciting as building this website but it kept me very busy which made the hours and days go faster. My other activities were:
COLORING: this is still my favorite hobby to relax while having old shows in the background. Some of my "artwork":
2. LEGO: No I did not pack them in my bags! Trust me if I have to pick between a box of Lego and a pair of shoes... Guess who wins! So thanks to my local best friend, she ordered me the box online and the next day it was delivered to my hotel!
3. TV SHOWS: this time for some reason I was watching a lot of old shows or re-watching some shows that were playing in the background like Frasier or Big Bang Theory, Will & Grace, Community and my old time favorite Friends. I did watch a couple of new shows I liked on Netflix:
4. BOOK: I wish I could put an "s" to the word but unfortunately I am not a big reader and like I said I was already reading a lot of work documents. This is one of my favorite French writer and before I came to Taiwan I had to make a stop in France so I took the opportunity to grab a few things including this book!
I hope that this is the last time I have to be in quarantine and I hope that soon the world can come back to some normalcy. When I get back home I will get the vaccine and wish that soon enough of us in the world will get a vaccine...
Now the adventure can continue with fresh air!!
